MENTAL HEALTH & NEURODEVELOPMENTAL CARE
Supporting Every Mind. At Every Stage.
Mental Health & Neurodevelopmental Care — DPC Membership Required
Mental health matters at every age. At Brewer Medical, we provide compassionate, personalized evaluations and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults, focusing on the whole person—not just a diagnosis.
SERVICES MAY INCLUDE:
ADHD evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management.
Autism screenings and referrals for comprehensive evaluations.
Anxiety and depression treatment.
Behavioral and emotional health assessments.
Prescription management and follow-up care.
Referrals for counseling, psychological testing, psychiatry, and specialized therapies.
WHY IS A DPC MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED?
Mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions often require more than a single appointment. Accurate evaluations, individualized treatment, medication adjustments, and ongoing monitoring take time, consistency, and a strong provider-patient relationship.
At Brewer Medical, we believe this type of care deserves continuity—not rushed, one-time visits.
A Direct Primary Care membership allows us to provide:
Ongoing follow-up and medication monitoring.
Time for comprehensive evaluations and individualized care plans.
Consistent communication as symptoms and treatment needs change.
Coordination with therapists, schools, psychiatrists, specialists, and other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
A long-term approach to mental and physical well-being.
Mental health and neurodevelopmental care are included with your DPC membership at no additional visit fee. There is no separate mental health membership charge.
KNOWING WHEN SPECIALIZED CARE MATTERS.
While Brewer Medical provides evaluation and management of many common mental health and neurodevelopmental concerns, our services are not intended to replace appropriate psychiatric care, specialized psychological assessment, or ongoing treatment with a psychiatrist when clinically indicated.
Certain conditions, complex medication regimens, significant psychiatric symptoms, or higher levels of care may require evaluation and management by a psychiatric specialist.
Our goal is to recognize those needs, coordinate appropriate referrals, and work alongside your mental healthcare team to support continuity of care.
PROUDLY PARTNERED WITH MIDDLE PATH COUNSELING
With offices in Blue Springs, MO, and Overland Park, KS, Middle Path Counseling offers specialized mental health services, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Insurance and self-pay options available for counseling services.
Together, we're making mental healthcare more accessible, coordinated, and personalized.
Brewer Medical's mental health and neurodevelopmental services require an active DPC membership. Laboratory testing, medications, specialized psychological or neurodevelopmental testing, psychiatric consultations, and counseling services may be billed separately. A membership does not guarantee a particular diagnosis or prescription, including controlled substances. Treatment is based on clinical appropriateness, provider scope of practice, and applicable prescribing requirements. Middle Path Counseling services are available independently and do not require a Brewer Medical membership. Brewer Medical does not provide emergency psychiatric or crisis stabilization services.
